Treatment with a fixed orthodontic aims to improve malocclusion and enhance the aesthetic. Traumatic injury to the
mucosa of the mouth is one of the risks that often occur and can be addressed among others by using mouthwash
that contains hyaluronic acid. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of 0.1% hyaluronic acid on wound
healing caused by trauma of fixed rthodontic appliance in terms of size wound, redness and pain. Twenty two
patients who had a traumatic injury caused by fixed appliance on buccal or labial mucosa were divided into 2
groups: K1, was instructed to rinse 10 ml solution containing 0.1% hyaluronic acid for 2 minutes after brushing
teeth, 2 times a day for 4 days; K2, used the K1’s instruction but using a placebo solution. Examination of size are
used caliper and reddish wounds are used index measuring wound redness performed before and after treatment,
and pain measurement used questionnaires. Based on the statistical analysis of t-test, the percentage of size changes
and redness traumatic injury were more significant in K1 than in K2 (p<0.05). While the pain of traumatic changes
in K1 than in K2 were not significant (p>0.05). The use of mouthwash containing 0.1% hyaluronic acid was
concluded proved effective to accelerate the wound healing process, but does not prove effective reducing pain
caused by traumatic injury due to fixed orthodontic appliance.

Abnormalities of the teeth that have had periapical endodontic treatment generally due to recurrent infections of
root canal. Infection of the root canal is caused by leakage due to poor quality of coronal restoration and iatrogenic
factors. Root canal treatment of the tooth with periapical cyst generally do conventionally. Medication materials
used for healing of periapical lesions is calcium hydroxide, since it has properties not irritating, alkaline pH and
antibacterial capabilities, so it is a biological stimulator for the formation of hard tissue in the area of damage and
is expected to accelerate the healing process. It was reported the case of a 23-year-old student came to the Dental
clinic of Conservation Specialist RSGM Sekeloa with complaints lower right back teeth has restored with amalgam,
no pain, but less comfortable when chewing. The results obtained after treatment with calcium hydroxide and
medikamen gutta percha filling with resin-based root canal cement. Approximately 4 months later, the periapical
radiolucent area had thinned. So it was concluded that conventional endodontic treatment proved to heal periapical
lesions including cysts, as long as the treatment is taken adequately.

Lesions caused by traumatic or unbalance occlusion, and overextension denture may occur in the majority of
patients who use denture. This generally occurs in the use of unfit full dentures (FD) and in a long period of time
causing chronic irritation to mucosal tissues caused by the sharp and overextension of the FD flange. One of the
most common tissue reaction caused by using unfit FD is inflammatory fibrous hyperplasia or more commonly
known as the flabby ridge. This tissue reaction appears as fold of mucosal tissue, single or multiple, grow
excessively around the sulcus mucobuccal, on the mucosa area unite gingiva and the cheek mucosa. Movement and
growth of the tissue continuously causes problems in maintaining retention of FD. This article reports the
management of denture-induced hyperplasia on maxilla edentulous of a 65-year old woman. Hyperplasia occurred
from the left premolar to right premolar region of the maxilla. Excision was carried out through a 7 cm length tissue
and then made for a conventional FD. As the result, patients are satisfied with the use of the new FD and did not
feel any further disruption to mucosal tissues

Modulus of elasticity is one of the mechanical properties of composite resins affects the resistance to deformation,
the strength of bonding with tooth structure and wear resistance. Modulus of elasticity is determined by the volume
fraction of filler particles as the inorganic phase composite resin. This literature study aims to evaluate the size,
shape and type of filler particles that affect the modulus of elasticity for composite resin. In a constant volume
fraction, the larger size of filler material tends to make more rigid while irregular shape of particles produces
higher modulus of elasticity than spherical form of particles. In addition, the type of filler particles also determines
the modulus of elasticity for resin composite, such as silica as the main type of filler particles will enhance the
modulus of elasticity whereas zirconium can result in a higher stiffness. In order to get composite resin restoration
with appropriate modulus of elasticity the necessary knowledge about the effect of different filler particle is
required.

The success of dental implant installment is determined by the condition of alveolar bone itself. Although there is no
legal research of the dental implant treatment failure in Indonesia, but there are some reports which state that there
is a lot of dental implant treatment failure happened which caused by the lack of appraisal of the quality and
quantity of the alveolar bone image which is accurate and optimal in the usement of radioghraphy units. But as the
time goes, the public needed of dental implant treatment begins increased. The purpose of this paper is to introduce
the CT-Scan with Hounsfield Unit sofe ware as a screener to patients for dental implant placement with value bone
mineral density (BMD). The measurement of BMD on alveolar bone before surgery for dental implant installment
must describe local condition and then compared the size with the diameter of dental implant. From the discussion,
it can be concluded that with using the CT-Scan, somebody can be stated get requirement or not for dental implant
placement.

Do literary study of the role and function of the prosthesis in overcoming or restoring function stomatognathic
system cannot function optimally. There is a variety of lost body parts due to illness or accident requiring
abnormalities restoration or rehabilitation with artificial materials. To overcome this thing, there are a variety of
prosthesis, the dental prosthesis, maxillofacial prosthesis, and supporting prosthesis (ancillary prosthesis). The
analysis focused on overcoming tooth loss causes shortening jaw arch and various maxillofacial abnormalities
using compatible materials, a variety of complications and their consequences. Data showed that the loss of the
system's structure can disrupt stomatognathic masticatory function, esthetics, phonetics, swallowing and breathing.
Installation of a removable prosthesis, partial or full will improve the efficiency of mastication and chewing ability,
a greater increase in fixed prostheses and implants. Esthetic and satisfaction very disturbed due to missing front
tooth with a large variation of subjectivity for the age group, social, cultural, regional and state. Generally, patients
are less affected by the phonetic compared to mastication. Although not fully, function prosthesis can replace
missing teeth and the surrounding tissue, and keep tissue health of the stomatognathic system. It was concluded that
prosthesis can help, restore and maintain function of stomatognathic system, namely the mastication, esthetics,
phonetics, swallowing and breathing.
